Biographical sketch:
Little information is available on Felicity Stephens or Felicity R. Stephens. According to the archive, she was involved in the Gay Women of Montreal — Labyris association (her position within the organization is not clearly identified) and was treasurer of the Association Homophile de Montréal — Gay Montreal Association (AHM-GMA). According to Ross Higgins, she returned to New Brunswick towards the end of her life and died there. She is also said to have written in Long Time Coming, notably on mental health issues. She worked as a cash auditor for the Androgyne bookstore.
Scope and content:
The fonds documents the associative life and activities of the Gay Women of Montreal — Labyris, as well as internal documents from the Association Homophile de Montréal and the Front Homosexuel Québécois de Libération (FHQL). The fonds also reflects a desire to combat discrimination against homosexuals from Christian churches.
