Fonds Projet Action-Intégration. – 1982-1985. – 18 cm of textual records.
Administrative history:
In the spring of 1985, the Groupe de Discussion du Mercredi Inc. obtained a grant from the Canada au travail program to carry out research on the gay and lesbian community in Montreal. The project was launched in April 1985 by Serge Lévesque and Jacques Maheux, assisted by researcher Pierre Claveau. Initially, the research took the form of a survey of over a thousand people, with the aim of preparing a directory of gay associations, media and resources in Montreal. The results of the survey were published in the form of a report prepared by Denis Caron and Pierre Claveau, entitled Enquête sur le vécu, les besoins, les attentes des personnes homosexuelles de la région de Montréal. The directory was published in June 1985, and the project culminated in a round table meeting held on 16 June 1985 to present the results of the survey and the directory to organizations in Montreal’s gay and lesbian community.
