Biographical sketch:
Keith Lowther was born in 1964. He received his B.A. from Trent University and his M.A. from the University of Calgary, for which he wrote a thesis entitled An Exercise in Sovereignty: The Canadian Government and the Inuit Relocation of 1953
In September 1989, he began his doctorate at Concordia University, which he did not complete. During his time at Concordia, he sat on a number of committees, including one to establish a course curriculum on AIDS. He taught history courses at Concordia and at several cégeps. At Concordia, he founded the student conference History in the Making in 1995.
He died on 11 August 1997 of AIDS-related lymphoma.

The fonds concerns Keith Lowther’s last wishes. It also bears witness to his impact on the academic and student community at Concordia.
